  • Women live over 5 years longer than men.
  • This year 2,690 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed
    among men in Kansas.
  • 350 men will die from prostate cancer this year.
  • Women outnumber men beginning at age 36.
  • What does this mean for spouses and families? In Kansas, among women married to men the same age as themselves, over 15% will be widows as they enter retirement (ages 65-69).
