  • Women live over 5 years longer than men.
  • This year 17,090 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed
    among men in Florida.
  • 2,200 men will die from prostate cancer this year.
  • Women outnumber men beginning at ages 40-44.
  • What does this mean for spouses and families? In Florida, among women married to men the same age as themselves, over 12% will be widows as they enter retirement (ages 65-69).
